Kinua Foundation is a Ugandan nonprofit organisation driven by a single, unwavering purpose: breaking cycles. The vicious cycles of poverty, preventable disease, and entrenched exclusion that trap communities , generation after generation.

We believe in the power of local resource mobilisation. Our communities hold the ingenuity, the resilience, and the will to solve their own challenges, they simply need the structures and support to do so. Research and lived experience alike confirm that when women are empowered, entire communities rise. Families become healthier, children stay in school, and local economies grow stronger from the inside out.
